About your Superintendent
To the communities of Genoa and Hugo,
It is with great pride I write to you as the Superintendent of Genoa-Hugo. I’m honored to support our district in its pursuit that every student will be empowered to learn, grow, excel and succeed as contributors to the local and global communities. Being your Superintendant allows me to continue on a journey to grow opportunities for students in academic achievement, athletics, activities, career and technical education, and community engagement.
I have 20+ years in education and11 years of administrative experience at both the middle and high school levels. I bring experience with The Colorado Education Initiative’s Homegrown Talent Initiative, a Fremont County Multi-School District Initiative, Expelled and At-Risk Student Services, eLearning program coordination, as well as extensive classroom teaching experience. I’ve also been a coach of men's soccer at the Division I collegiate level.
I’m excited to be in a community rich in tradition and dedicated to building a legacy focused on greatness. My primary mission will be to always do what is best for Genoa-Hugo’s children, earn your respect, grow opportunities and support building lifelong learners that will be productive citizens of society. I’m dedicated to the district’s “we are in this together” culture that creates a safe and positive environment for students and staff loaded with quality educational opportunities.
As I transition to the Genoa-Hugo community, I’ll live and breathe the Pirate culture to support the great work the staff and students have already accomplished. I’ll support staff as we rise to the community's expectations and build on areas to grow academic and life achievement.
I look forward to getting to know each of you individually, this community, and your children. GO PIRATES!
